A FERVENT APPEAL TO THE WORLD MUDLIM UMMA. Dear Fellow Brothers, I, the undersigned, take this opportunity with an ardent appeal to approach all of all you, being the generous Muslim brotherhood at home and abroad to come forward for the noble cause of reconstruction, renovation and expansion of an ageold mosque at Katalgonj, Panchlaish, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Our’s is a time worned Mosque which dates back to seven centuries and due to it’s location in a densely populated locality the Mosque in its present state cannot accommodate the increasing number of praying devotees. On the other hand during the weekly Zuma prayer, Tarabi prayer and two Eid congregations the Musallies (Praying devotees) being so large in number are compelled to stand in Zamat line on the open road thus blocking the traffic movement. So inorder to meet up the need of the present circumstance the Managing Committee of the Mosque felt the dire necessity of reconstruction renovation and expansion of the Mosque. Accordingly we have embarked upon an ambitious program for demolishing the present structure and designed a new plan for reconstruction by a renowned Architect. The newly designed working plan has been made with the foundation of ten storied structure to prevent earthquake and other natural hazards with it’s lasting capacity for over 100 years.
